Canada Beats U.S. Away for First Time in 67 Years

Canada ended a 67-year winless streak against the U.S. on American soil with a 2-1 victory in a soccer friendly. Goals from Jacob Shaffelburg and Jonathan David secured the win for the 40th-ranked Canadians, who led 1-0 at halftime. Luca de la Torre scored for the 16th-ranked U.S. in the second half. Canada's last win on U.S. soil was in July 1957. Coach Jesse Marsch praised his team's performance, while U.S. interim coach Mikey Varas took responsibility for the defeat.
