Canada's Largest Vaccine Plant Opens in Toronto

A new Toronto vaccine factory by Sanofi, initially set to produce flu shots by 2026, will now start in 2027 due to regulatory delays. During the pandemic, Canada's lack of vaccine manufacturing led to costly delays, prompting a $470 million investment in new biomanufacturing plants. Other projects, including Moderna's Laval plant, also face delays.
