Canadian Cody Fournie Wins Gold in Men's T51 200m

Cody Fournie won gold in the men's T51 200m at the Paris Paralympics, marking his first Paralympic race. The 35-year-old from Victoria clocked a personal best of 37.64 seconds. This victory is Canada's second gold in Paris, following Nicholas Bennett's swimming win. Fournie transitioned from wheelchair rugby to racing during COVID, and his performance was a result of intense training with coach Geoff Harris. He faces the 100m race on Friday.
