Canadian swimmer Danielle Dorris defended her Paralympic title in the women’s S7 50m butterfly, winning gold at the Paris Games with a time of 32.66 seconds. Dorris, who holds the world record, was followed by American Mallory Weggemann (silver) and Italy's Giulia Terzi (bronze). Dorris expressed her joy at the win, her second Paralympic gold. Canada's Tess Routliffe finished fourth, while Shelby Newkirk claimed bronze in the women's S6 100m backstroke.
