Montreal Dockworkers Strike

Dockworkers at the Port of Montreal have initiated a three-day strike affecting two terminals. The union local, which is affiliated with the Canadian Union of Public Employees, had said about 350 members would be part of the job action. The action follows ongoing disputes over working conditions and wages. This strike could disrupt cargo operations and impact shipping schedules, highlighting ongoing tensions in labor relations within the industry. Authorities are urging both sides to return to negotiations to resolve the issue and minimize disruptions.
