Easy Way to Remove Microplastics from Drinking Water

Scientists from Guangzhou Medical University and Jinan University have discovered a simple method to remove microplastics from drinking water. By boiling and filtering both soft and hard tap water, they achieved up to 90% removal of nanoplastics and microplastics. The process is effective due to the formation of calcium carbonate crust in hard water, which traps plastic particles. This technique, using common kitchen tools, offers a practical way to reduce microplastic consumption.
