Lab-Grown Embryo Guidelines Meet Ethical Standards and Build Trust

In July, UK researchers introduced a pioneering code of practice for using human stem cells to create embryo models in the lab. This global first aims to ensure ethical and transparent research by prohibiting practices such as transferring models into a uterus and requiring oversight from a committee. The guidelines, while not legally binding, are designed to adapt to various embryo models and focus on defining research endpoints case-by-case to address ethical and scientific concerns.
