Ontario Cuts Funding for Non-$10-a-Day Daycare Centres

Ontario will cut funding for child-care centres not participating in the $10-a-day program starting in 2025, eliminating routine grants and fee subsidies. Non-participating centres will face potential staff pay cuts of $2 an hour and increased operational challenges. While existing families will retain current subsidies, new applicants will only find support within the $10-a-day system.
