Ontario Sports Minister to Donate Brain to Concussion Research

Ontario's Minister of Sport, Neil Lumsden, announced his intention to donate his brain for concussion research while unveiling $52,500 in funding for a study on traumatic brain injuries. Lumsden, a former CFL player, emphasized the need to understand the long-term effects of concussions, noting that many athletes suffer lasting impacts. The research, led by Jesse Young at CAMH, aims to analyze concussion prevalence and inform prevention strategies under Rowan's Law, which mandates concussion awareness in sports.
