Rivard Wins Paralympic Gold After 400m Freestyle Struggles

Canadian Aurélie Rivard won gold in the S10 100m freestyle at the Paris Paralympics, overcoming doubts and recent struggles with the event. Rivard's time of 4:29.20 secured her third consecutive Paralympic gold in this race. She also won silver in the 100m freestyle and bronze in the 50m freestyle at these Games. Tess Routliffe earned bronze in the SB7 100m breaststroke, her second medal in Paris.
