A small molecule restores muscle strength, fuels brain cell growth, and reduces inflammation in old mice. Tested in rodents and human cells, it shows promise for human trials. The molecule increases telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT), which lengthens telomeres and reverses aging effects. In mice, short-term treatment reversed aging signs, while long-term treatment improved memory, coordination, and muscle strength. More research is needed before human trials begin.
