The Canadian passport is ranked as the seventh-best in the world

Henley and Partners ranked the Canadian passport as the seventh most powerful in the world in 2024, based on data from the International Air Transport Authority. This ranking reflects the Canadian passport's access to visa-free travel to 187 countries and various work and study options. Canada ties with Czechia, Hungary, and Malta, while Singapore holds the top spot. The U.S. ranks eighth, and Afghanistan is last with access to 26 countries.
