WestJet Introduces New UltraBasic Fare

WestJet is launching UltraBasic, replacing the Basic fare on domestic and transborder routes. This new fare has restrictions: no carry-on bags except on transatlantic or transpacific flights, or with Extended Comfort. Only personal items that fit under the seat are allowed, with additional fees for checked bags. UltraBasic passengers get automatically assigned seats at the back, board last, and cannot change, cancel, or refund tickets. They also won't earn WestJet Rewards.
