Ontario Teachers Secure 11% Pay Raise Over Four Years

Ontario’s elementary and high school teachers will receive a pay increase of 11.73% over four years following an arbitration board ruling. The settlements, covering 143,000 teachers, include retroactive pay raises of 3% for 2022-23 and 2023-24, a 2.75% raise in 2024-25, and 2.5% in 2025-26. Education Minister Stephen Lecce praised the agreements for ensuring stability, while unions highlighted significant compensation gains despite setbacks in class size requests.
