Manitoba Launches $25M EV Rebate Program to Cut Emissions

Manitoba has launched a $25 million electric vehicle rebate program to boost adoption and cut emissions, announced by Ministers Tracy Schmidt and Adrien Sala. Starting August 1, 2023, the program offers $4,000 for new and $2,500 for used qualifying EV purchases until March 2026. The initiative aims to make EVs more affordable, supporting sustainable transportation. Rebates apply to vehicles purchased or leased from Manitoba dealerships, aligning with efforts to combat the climate crisis and reduce daily commuting costs for families.
